Stained glass
We invite you to a traditional stained glass course for beginners! Encounter the old art of painting pictures with light and color.
Saturday art classes will be a time of joy of creation, relaxation and silence. Participants will acquire specific skills. We will learn how to prepare a stained glass design, choose colors, cut glass, frame it with lead and solder it. The course will be conducted by Marcin Armatys.
During 22 hours of work under the supervision of an instructor, each person will make a stained glass window with their own hands!
We are gathering a group! We invite adults to the classes.
Duration 22 hours, 7 meetings on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Program of the course:
Meeting 1
Preparing projects, transferring the project to tracing paper, stenciling - exercises, health and safety.
Meeting 2
Color selection of glass according to design.
Meeting 3
(classes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on this day)
Learning to cut glass
Meeting 4
Learning to cut glass
Meeting 5
Framing stained glass windows with lead.
Meeting 6
Framing stained glass, soldering.
Meeting 7
Puttying and cleaning stained glass.
Important!
Please bring a sketch, idea and stained glass design in A3 format to the first class.
- As part of the course, you will independently create a stained glass window of your own design, A3 format (from 10 to 30 elements). The designed and created stained glass window remains the property of the course participant.
- We provide all necessary materials and tools
- The classes will be conducted by Marcin Armatys from the "Testor" stained glass studio
- We issue a certificate of course completion.
- Adults (over 18 years of age) are welcome to participate in the classes.
MARCIN ARMATYS – since 2009, he has been associated with the Krakow stained glass studio, responsible for paintings on glass. He co-created stained glass windows for dozens of religious and private buildings in Poland and abroad. They also include projects based on his designs, including the recently dedicated stained glass window in the monastery of St. Anna in Biecz. A painter and surrealist, he has been successfully exhibiting his paintings in art galleries/auction houses for two years

Group up to 10 people, we start classes if we get a group of at least 5 people.
Cost of the course is 1400 PLN. Please pay 700 PLN in advance before the start of the course.
The cost includes participation in workshops, access to tools, and materials.
