This is the fifth edition of this project, but the goal is the same as in previous years: to help people working in the field of culture develop their ideas. We accompany them in the process of transforming dreams into actions. However, this year we have more time for it, because the Krakow Cultural Incubator 2022-2023 will last ten months, and not - as in previous years - five.
Trainings and workshops were devoted to various aspects of planning - from analyzing recipients' needs to creating budgets, but also to creative thinking and visual promotion.
Our Beneficiaries are leaders who have prepared plans for the development of their ideas over several years, as well as projects for pilot activities - small projects that will be financed from KIK funds in 2023. These activities are very diverse, just like the group in this year's Incubator. It includes elderly and very young people who have been tied to their place of residence for years, as well as refugees from Ukraine who work in larger task teams and individually. The ideas they want to implement with the support of KIK include: meetings with philosophy, youth discussion forum, singing and ceramics workshops, lectures and a fashion show. In this edition, the direction known as culture in nature will clearly stand out. Already in the previous, pandemic edition, KIK carried out projects dedicated to trees in the city and art workshops in parks. This year, two pilot activities will take place in the forest.
Now it's time for detailed planning of activities: inviting partners to cooperate, developing promotional materials and making necessary purchases. Consultations are held for the Beneficiaries until these tasks are completed. They concern both the projects they implement and their further development: trends in culture, sources of financing and finding partners for activities.
The project was financed by the National Institute of Freedom - Center for the Development of Civil Society as part of the Government Program NOWEFIO Civic Initiatives Fund for 2021-2030.
